19/2/18 – Molly has gone to her new home!
This sweet, greying face belongs to beautiful and brave Molly, a 10 year old Patterdale terrier lady who arrived at RSPCA West Hatch in Somerset with a case of mange. After two months of treatments, she has been given the all clear. Now Molly is ready to put that part of her life behind her and start anew in a loving home!
Poor Molly had to be quarantined during the time of her treatment. Medicated baths and tablets were a daily part of her life and staff treating her had to wear protective overalls and gloves, so it wasn’t easy to give this lovely girl the cuddles and affection she so desperately wanted.
Thankfully, the mange retreated and Molly’s coat grew back. She moved into kennels with the other dogs and has been enjoying their company and that of the staff, who are making up for lost time by giving her plenty of love, cuddles and daily walks!
Molly is a petite, plucky little girl who has survived all of this, remaining a sweet, cheeky little girl in the process. She is loving life again and doing the things she enjoys. She loves going for walks, playing with her ball and having cuddles on the sofa. For sheer resilience and perseverance, you have to take your hat off to her!
Sweet little Molly is seeking a home where her new people can appreciate what she has been through and dedicate themselves to providing her with a safe, loving home. It would be great if her new family was experienced with terriers too!
Molly can live with other dogs and sensible children. She comes with a veterinary disclaimer that the RSPCA vet will be more than happy to discuss with potential adopters.
And whoever is lucky enough to adopt little Molly will receive £480/year for the rest of her life to cover her daily eyedrops which she takes without a problem, bless her!
