02/05/18 – Nicky has been adopted, together with Boss! Congratulations boys!
Nicky is an 8 year old American Bulldog boy who arrived at RSPCA Danaher Animal Home in Essex, along with his son Boss who is only 3. Initially it was hoped they would find a new home together, but sadly the stress of being in kennels, in a relatively small space together, has led to them starting to squabble, so the decision has been made to rehome them separately as they have had to be split up anyway. If you did happen to be interested in the pair of them though, you can mention that to RSPCA Danaher.
Nicky is a spectacular dog. Not only does he look amazing, he is also brilliant fun and extremely affectionate.
Nicky (and Boss) lived a rather sheltered life, so his training leaves a little to be desired, and he is not very well socialised with other dogs. His housetraining might need working on too, but this is difficult to assess in kennels.
Nicky loves to run about and play, so a large garden or access to fields would be handy for his new home. See him with Boss in this short video:
Because of his size and energy, Nicky isn’t suitable to live with younger or less confident children, but he should be fine with older kids. He needs a home without other animals.
