17/7/18 – Silvia has been rehomed!
If you love scruffy-looking dogs, take a good look at 11-year-old Silvia. She is in the care of Love Underdogs and is in Waltham Abbey, Essex, having been rescued from a shelter in Romania where she has spent the last 2 years.
Silvia was a little shy on arrival but has quickly blossomed. She bonds with people very quickly and gives a wonderful welcome to her human friends when she hasn’t seen them in a while. She is quite sensitive, so needs a loving and patient home. She may never have lived in a home so will need to get used to all things domestic, though having said that, Love Underdogs find that their dogs generally take to their new lives quickly.
At 16kg in weight, Silvia is a nice medium-sized girl. She is very young at heart and wants to play and have fun and she enjoys exercise. She needs a good walk or two daily for 30 to 45 minutes and maybe more in time. She is great with other dogs so social interaction at the park should be lovely.
Silvia has a grade 3 heart murmur which at this stage does not require medication.
Love Underdogs don’t rehome older dogs to homes with children. Silvia is unknown with cats but could live with a compatible dog.
