Stella (Wonky Pets Rescue, fostered Derbyshire)

Stella is a 9 year old, rough coated terrier girl, being fostered in Swadlincote, Derbyshire through Wonky Pets Rescue.

Stella was picked up as a stray on bonfire night, taken to the pound and never claimed. She appeared to have been a bit neglected. Her coat was dirty, matted and smelly. She had a sizable mass underneath. This turned out to be a large hernia which has now been repaired. She’s also been spayed and had a dental, where some teeth were removed.

Now feeling much better and raring to go, this little lady is looking for her forever home where she can be pampered. Stella is a typical tenacious terrier. She knows her own mind and exactly what she wants. She is an absolute sweetheart! A real lap dog, who loves to sit on the sofa with you having fuss and cuddles.

She loves her walks and is good on and off the lead. She will need a home with someone who can give her plenty of exercise and has a nice garden for her to run around in.

Stella is OK with other dogs but she will stand her ground and put them in their place. She has probably lived as an only dog previously and would prefer to do so again, so she can have all the attention. She can be grumbly around food especially with other dogs so she needs to be left in peace, on her own, when eating her dinner.

Stella is housetrained, generally quiet and well behaved in the home. She does love to come up stairs to sleep near you at night but will happily get into her little bed, especially if she is covered with her blanket. She travels absolutely fine in the car.

Stella cannot live with cats or small furries, as she is very much a typical Terrier around them. She can be considered for homes with sensible, dog savvy children aged 8 and over.

She is spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, flea and worm treated and will be rehomed with 5 weeks free pet insurance.
