11/6/19 – Candy has found a home!
———–

Sadly, Candy’s owner was very ill in hospital meaning that Candy was stuck in kennels for over 6 months. Now that her owner has passed away, she has come to Rain Rescue in Rotherham, South Yorkshire, to find a new loving owner and forever home.

Candy is a senior Patterdale Terrier who was not only bereaved, but also she was suffering from a swollen and painful eye which has now been removed. The operation has made an incredible difference to Candy and she’s like a different dog. The day she arrived, she cowered, shook and hid under and in any small space she could find. Now she’s full of zest, tail wags and enthusiasm for everyone she meets. Plus the results of the biopsy on the eye are good, showing it to be benign and with a good prognosis.

Candy adores being the centre of attention, so she is looking for a home where she will be treasured as she deserves. She isn’t a fan of being on her own so would prefer a home where someone is around most of the time.

Candy is good with other dogs and has walked out and mixed with other small dogs, enjoying a little play. However, in the home she’d be best suited as an only pet and would prefer living with adults only. She does not want to live with cats.

Candy is neutered and no further action is needed for her eye, just monitoring. She has had a vet health check plus vaccinations, microchipping, flea and worming. Candy comes with a collar, lead and personalised Red Dingo ID Tag as well as 4 weeks’ free insurance with PetPlan.

Candy is a lovely lady who has fallen on hard times, her journey has been rough but she’s come out of it amazingly well. She’s transformed in just a few short weeks and will make someone an adorable companion.
