29/10/19 – Dan has been adopted!
Please meet gorgeous, and rather humble, Dan, a medium-sized Crossbreed boy who is 9 years old. His story is that he lived in Romania at an Ambulance station for a while and was treated kindly when they built a cage for him for shelter but, at some point, he was hit by a car.
Dan required surgery on one of his back legs and, after recovery, he couldn’t be taken back to the street, so he has been sadly in kennels since around 2013. Now he’s in the UK and enjoying the comforts of a foster home in Norwich, Norfolk, under the care of Safe Rescue where he’s hoping to be offered the loving, forever home he truly deserves.
Dan is a quiet and humble boy who still feels he is unworthy of domestic luxuries. He currently has to be encouraged into dog beds and on sofas because if you don’t he will simply lie on the hard floor. Once formally invited, he will simply sleep for hours as the years of hardship melt away and he finally relaxes in peaceful dreams.
Dan mixes well with other dogs but really deserves a peaceful retirement home and young, boisterous dogs would be ruled out as companions for him. Ideally, he would love to live with a retired person or couple who have the time to devote and spoil him, making up for the wasted years in the best way possible.
