Dear Dorothy is an absolute sweetheart despite her sad background. She was rescued from a kill shelter in Romania and taken to a private shelter waiting for a chance of a home. During this time, Dorothy has lacked love, attention and exercise, but most certainly not food!

Dorothy is now being cared for in a foster home in Windsor, Berkshire, provided by Safe Rescue. She is a smallish Labrador Cross and is aged around 8 – 9 years. Although Dorothy was meant to be a smallish crossbreed, it is quite difficult to see that right now as she is overweight.

Dorothy is such a sweet lady and is affectionate and loving. She’s a little lazy right now because movement is a struggle, but she can still strut her stuff and do a full body wag when she greets you. Dorothy is mixing well with all other dogs in her foster home and enjoys the company of children.

Dorothy is spayed, vaccinate and microchipped. It can’t be emphasized enough how important it is for anyone taking Dorothy into their lives to be kind to her by limiting her food and monitoring her exercise program. Now that Dorothy finally can have the life she never dared hope for, it should be enjoyed for the longest possible time and she needs to be a healthy weight.
