10/2/19 – Gucci has been rehomed!
Gucci is a pretty 9 year old Shar Pei girl who is being rehomed by Wonky Pets Rescue and is in a foster home in south Birmingham. She is a dinky little Pei weighing only 14 kg.
Gucci needs a home where she will have company for a good portion of the day, so she wouldn’t suit full-time workers. She finds herself in rescue because her owner was too ill to care for her, sadly.
Gucci is wary of strangers and likes to takes her time to get to know and trust people. Once she has made that connection though, she is great and will be your best friend and shadow. She needs an experienced Shar Pei owner who understands the breed and will introduce her to new people and situations in the correct way.
Gucci has settled really well into a pack of lots of other Shar Pei, so she can happily live with a friendly neutered dog in her new home. She can’t live with cats but can live with sensible dog-savvy children aged 8 years and older.
Once Gucci has bonded with you she will be your forever friend. She loves nothing more than a cuddle on your lap, and if anything she is a little clingy. She forms a strong bond with her people and this needs to be managed correctly to ensure that it doesn’t develop into separation anxiety. She is OK to be left for around 3 hours at the moment so needs someone around a lot of the time.
Gucci is housetrained, hasn’t been destructive, travels well in the car and is OK on the lead. She is spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, flea and worm treated and she will be rehomed with 5 weeks free pet insurance. She is being fostered in south Birmingham but can be rehomed further afield subject to homecheck and donation.
