27/11/19 – Rover has found a home!

Rover is a beautiful 10 year old Staffy cross in the care of Foal Farm Animal Rescue in Biggin Hill, Kent. He’s been returned to them after a change of circumstances at the home where he’d spent 6 happy years! He isn’t coping well in a kennel environment and has been spending some time at a staff member’s home to give him some time to relax.

Rover loves human company and would like to be with someone a fair bit of the time, but he is being trained to get used to being left alone and he is doing very well. Foal Farm will advise on how to settle Rover in to his new home. He can live in a family environment but would be better off as an only pet as he can be quite choosy about who his friends are. He gets on with some other dogs but never with cats!

Foal Farm say, “This affectionate chap has been seeking a family since October 2018 and is desperate to find a permanent home. He especially loves cuddles and is a firm favourite with our staff and volunteers. He tugs at our heart strings daily as he pines for someone to call his own.”

By all accounts Rover is a gentle, playful, fuss-loving boy who just needs good company and a bit of routine in his retirement. He loves home comforts but for now has to make do with kennel life.

Can you help him?
