Cute Benji came into the care of RSPCA Westmorland Branch in Cumbria recently with his friend, Missy, when their owner sadly died. They’ve been together all their lives so it would be a shame to split them up if they could be offered a home together, but they can be rehomed separately.

Benji is a black and white Jack Russell Terrier and is approximately 9 years old. He is always happy to see you and always wants to spend time with his two-legged friends, especially when he gets lots of fuss and cuddles. He can be a bit nervous until he gets to know you, so he’ll need a patient owner who can give him plenty of time to settle into his new environment.

Benji knows the command “sit” but he will need a little lead training. He has previously lived with children aged five to fifteen years, is fine when travelling and happy to be left alone for short periods. He’s small but full of fun. Benji would prefer not to live with cats.

Benji’s idea of heaven would be a soft bed and someone who is able to spend lots of time with him throughout the day.
