George is an 8-year-old male American Bulldog who is at RSCPA West Hatch, near Taunton in Somerset.

Gorgeous George arrived in RSPCA care underweight and suffering from skin problems. He has responded well to treatment and is now ready to find a new home.

George can be a little worried by new people, but once he gets to know you he is very affectionate and can be quite playful. He is looking for a home with someone who has experience with large-breed dogs, and who has no other pets. George has previously had a very unsettled life and due to this he needs someone who is at home initially to get him into a routine and to teach him to be left gradually.

When George first arrived in rescue he was comfortable with other dogs, but the restrictions of the kennel environment have caused George to become a bit frustrated when first meeting dogs on the lead. With gentle, appropriate socialising it is believed that George will quickly return to being a social boy. He tries to stay very clean in his kennel, so a quick refresher course in house training and he will be back to a routine in no time. George is very motivated by food, which will help with any training he takes on in his new home.

This gorgeous boy has so much love to give. Please give George a chance.
