29/8/20 – Marla has found a home!

Sweet but shy, Marla is yet another dog luckily rescued from a notorious public shelter in Romania. Happily, she is now being cared for in a foster home in Beaconsfield, Buckinghamshire, via Safe Rescue.

Marla is a 9 year old, black, Retriever-type Crossbreed. She has emerged from her terrible life as a shy and cautious lady with a tendency to hide from the world when allowed to. She is a beautiful girl who needs to gain confidence over the coming weeks and months.

Marla finds walks are a bit of a trial at the moment as she just wants to get back to the safety of home. Only perseverance will eventually lead to her enjoying the great outdoors. In herself, she is gentle but wary. She’s slowly starting to wag her wonky, bent tail for food.

Marla is dog-friendly and would like another dog for company and to show her the way to a wonderful doggy life, but she needs a quieter home. For this reason, she’d be happy in a home with calm, older children or adults only.

Marla is neutered, microchipped and an adoption fee and home check apply.
