25/3/20 – Lovely Nina has moved to a foster home that will hopefully be long term. We are so pleased for her.

Nina is an absolutely beautiful German Shepherd girl, aged about 7 or 8, who is with RSPCA Westmorland in Kendal, Cumbria.

This lovely lady was found as a stray with no microchip, so nothing is known of her life before she arrived at the kennels. What is obvious though is that Nina is a classic German Shepherd: once she has decided that you are her friend, she will do anything for you.

Nina has been to the vets and it has been found that she has some mammary lumps and also arthritis. She is not in any immediate pain and is not needing any medication at the moment. After discussion with the vet, it has been decided not to put her through what would be extensive surgery for the lumps, but to just try to find her either a foster home or adoptive home where she can enjoy whatever time she has left in comfort. She may need pain relief in the future, but as she doesn’t tolerate Metacam, it would be simple paracetamol.

Nina is looking for a home with someone who understands German Shepherds. She could live with children aged 11+ and she would like to be your only animal in the home. She is a quiet girl who is full of love and devotion, but she can be left on her own for short periods. She walks nicely on the lead and will enjoy going out for interesting walks with you.

Could you offer this stunning older lady lots of happiness?
