8/10/2020 So sadly, cuddly Noodles was found to have a lump in his throat 4 weeks ago which the vet suspected cancer and after x-rays discovered it had already spread to his lungs. His health rapidly deteriorated and he’s now resting in a happy place.

Big cuddly Noodles is a 12 year old Shar Pei boy looking for a local, long term foster placement in a quiet, grownup-only home with the help of Freshfields Animal Rescue in Liverpool. He’s very shut down and sad in kennels but luckily spends most weekends in respite foster care. Only when he’s with those he trusts in a home environment can he fully relax …
… and be himself.
At the rescue, he’s on edge and finds it all a worry.
Clever, sensitive lad that he is, he has a bit to tell you about himself… “I am a very good boy, a perfect gentleman! I am clean and polite. I just don’t like being left alone. I will pace and chew and get myself into a very stressed state.
“I do think that I could hopefully be built up to be left for an hour or two if it was done very slowly now that I am older. I walk well on the lead but would like to be the only pet in my new home as I have been attacked by some dogs in the past so I am wary. I would also like my home to be adults only and if my new family can spend a few weeks getting to know me then that would be great!
“I do have some medical issues that require special medication and diet but my friends here at Freshfields say that I can be fostered and so all my food and vets bills will be covered for the rest of my life!
“Please can somebody take a chance on me? I have been here for so long I worry that people think it is too late. My friends say I will make such a great companion. I just need a chance! It’s never too late for me to find my retirement home, I just need a comfy spot to take a snooze”
