Sensitive soul Peter is a Lab cross believed to be about 7 years old, in foster care in Norwich, Norfolk through Safe Rescue. He doesn’t hold with cats and finds children a bit alarming but he loves being with other dogs. He needs to live with at least one other dog to help him with his confidence.

Before being rescued Peter was part of a pack of dogs living at a construction site in Romania. When the builders wanted them gone and threatened to kill them, rescuers stepped in and took them to a safe shelter.

He spent a long time in that shelter before being brought to the UK for a happier life by Safe Rescue. Peter was completely shut down when he arrived in their care several months ago.

He has come on very well in that time and he’s more tolerant of human contact. Although not quite to the point of loving it yet.

Peter has been slow to get the hang of walking on the lead. He has something of a stubborn streak. He’s now started to reluctantly admit he quite likes his walks!

He can be a little lazy at times and will need an adopter that doesn’t give in to this. He needs exercise and to continue gaining confidence being out in the big wide world, no matter how comfy it is on the sofa!

If you’re a calm and understanding person who will be firm yet fair with Peter and help him discover how lovely life can be, please contact Safe Rescue as follows:
