Gentle Polar is a medium-sized Crossbreed and is around seven years old. He was rescued from a construction site in Romania along with some other dogs when the site workers threatened to kill them all. He is looking for some peace and quiet for his retirement years and is in the meantime enjoying life in his foster home in Basingstoke, provided by Safe Rescue.
Polar is a quiet boy who is just so pleased to have proper bedding after all his years of hard, damp floors. He is learning to enjoy walks but still feels a bit intimidated out in the big wide world and is currently relieved to get back home to his beloved bed.
Polar gets on well with other dogs but isn’t particularly reliant on them, and so he could happily live as an only dog too. The other great love of his life is food. His tail will wag frantically and he will actually leave his bed willingly at meal times.
Polar asks very little in life and, though initially a little shy, has the makings of a loving and loyal companion. He is neutered, microchipped and an adoption fee and home check apply.
