Alana (Safe Rescue, fostered Norfolk)

Please help Alana by sharing this page!

Dear old Alana is a Beagle cross of about 10-11 years in the care of  Safe Rescue.

She’s currently in a multi-dog foster home in Gorleston, Norfolk. She was previously with another rescue, in kennels. She was a bag of nerves in that environment and has only just learnt to relax. Her sweet nature is emerging more and more.

Alana really loves her walks! She’s generally good on the lead but if something alarms her, she will pull to get away. She’s starting to relax a lot more on her walks now and responds to reassurance but her adopters will need to be strong enough to keep up with her if she does get spooked.
Previously, in kennels, she was unapproachable as she was so scared. She is now happy to be approached in her bed to be stroked and is beginning to come and ask for fuss herself!
She’s come on in leaps and bounds in foster, with other dogs around her to show her the ropes. She will need at least one other friendly dog in her new home to help her confidence. Obviously, once adopted, she will need the space to get used to all the newness in her own time.
Alana would like a peaceful but active home life, with no young children and plenty of outdoorsy time. The person who adopts this wonderful girl is going to be blessed with love and enthusiastic tail wags!
If you could be the one to help this lovely lady live her retirement to the full, please contact Safe Rescue as follows:
