30/8/21 – We are delighted to hear that Arlo has been adopted!

Arlo is a very friendly 9-year-old Staffy boy who is with Senior Staffy Club; he’s in kennels near Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire. He is a big favourite at the kennels and enjoys being with the people there and especially loves giving them lots of kisses.
Arlo’s owner, who has passed away, was homeless and so Arlo has spent all of his life on the streets. He was a much loved companion to his Dad, and it would be lovely for Arlo to spend his senior years in a comfortable, loving home. Having never lived in a home, it will all be new to him, but Senior Staffy Club will be on hand to give Arlo’s adopters any advice they might need.
Arlo is sure to enjoy having a sofa to rest on, a comfy bed to snuggle up in and perhaps a cosy fireplace to relax in front of. Staffies certainly do appreciate warmth and home comforts so it will be lovely for Arlo to finally discover these. He is a playful lad so will enjoy having a garden to run and play in. He especially loves his tug toy.
Arlo should be fine to be around older children, aged 12+, but needs a home without cats or dogs. He isn’t keen on other dogs – he finds them quite scary – as he had a really bad experience once. He will sometimes growl and pull towards them, but he has been trained to wear a muzzle and is happy to wear it as that means it is walk time! He walks great on the lead and loves to investigate everything, and maybe have a cuddle or two along the way as well. Arlo will sit nicely, give his paw, and will also speak for a tasty treat. He loves sausages!
Arlo was very good at his vet check. He got into the van with no trouble and settled down quickly for the drive. He didn’t make a sound when waiting either he was a very patient patient! The vet said Arlo is in really good health. He is neutered, vaccinated and microchipped.
Could you offer this very deserving old chap his first proper home?
