19/01/2021 – Martha has been adopted! Hooray!

Affectionate Martha is a medium to large Crossbreed and is around 10 years old. She was living in a pack in a village in Romania, and when a shelter was built in their territory it seemed the only right thing to do was to find them lovely new homes and put an end to the struggles faced in life on the streets. Taken in by Safe Rescue, she is now safely living in a foster home in Gorleston, Norfolk, and hopes to go to her forever home soon.

Martha is very affectionate and playful once she knows you and loves a good fuss. She doesn’t like at lot of movement or noise; she just wants a quiet life and lots of love, so a home with no young children would suit her best. It would be perfect for Martha to find a retirement home where she can enjoy the home comforts and love she has missed out on for so long.

Martha has clearly had a hard life and, at some point, suffered damage to her back leg. She doesn’t have much use of it and X-rays showed it couldn’t be fixed as it probably had been broken for years, but it doesn’t stop her enjoying walks and she can move at quite a speed considering.

Years of fending for herself in all weathers has clearly taken its toll on her body but her spirit has very definitely survived intact. She will need to stay on pain medication because of her damaged leg/hip, but Martha is a lovely lady and will return all the love she receives.

Martha is spayed, vaccinated and microchipped.
