2/4/21 – Peanut has found a new home!

Friendly Peanut is a Chow Chow Cross who is believed to be around 7 years old. He has been taken in by Safe Rescue from another rescue to help find a home for him and is being cared for in a foster home in Norwich, Norfolk.

In his foster home, Peanut has been a sweet, friendly and affectionate boy who adores his foster family. To date, he has been a little protective over his bed and tried to keep the other dogs away from it but it’s been no more than noise and bluster, and he is corrected for this behaviour which seems to be having an effect.

Chows are strong-willed dogs that need a confident and experienced handler and Peanut would suit anyone who has experience of the breed or similar head-strong breeds. He was adopted previously but returned to the original rescue for guarding tendencies which are common to the Chow breed.

Peanut is currently living with other dogs and, although he does sometimes tell them off, they really don’t take him very seriously or take any notice. Peanut loves his walks and walks well on a lead, he seems happy to be left home alone for reasonable periods of time without any issues.

Peanut is vaccinated, microchipped and neutered.
