02/05/2021 – Roxy has been adopted! Congratulations lovely girl!

Roxy is a substantial and cuddly 8 year old Bull Mastiff lady in the care of Cheltenham Animal Shelter in Gloucestershire. She’s adorable!

Roxy is very definite about things. She loves food, toys and all humans. She does not like other animals though and needs a home without any neighbouring dogs or cats who visit your garden. Unless you want them to stop visiting your garden. She needs to be walked in quiet places, at quiet times because she will tell other dogs to stay away if she sees them and she’d rather not have to.

She’s a big, strong girl so she needs owners who are stronger than her. Her solidness and playful nature mean she’d better not live with children. Even though she’d love kids, they might not love getting bowled over by her enthusiasm!

Since Roxy is very food oriented she’s actual quite easy to train. She likes little bits of ice as a treat. She’s been on a diet since arriving at the shelter and has lost over 10kg! Earning herself a Slimmer Of The Month certificate. What a good girl!

Roxy is affectionate and a really fun, amusing companion. In the right home, with a fully stocked ice tray, Roxy will be the perfect new addition to the family. Just don’t let her persuade you to give her tit bits. She’s much happier now she’s lighter on her paws and wants to stay that way!
