Dear Wilbur is a tiny dude with lots of personality. He’s an 8 – 9 year old Dachshund Cross who is looking for a loving home with the help of Safe Rescue. Meanwhile, he is enjoying some home comforts in a foster home in Hingham, Norfolk.

Wilbur loves food, snuggly beds, strokes and more food! He is not terribly comfortable around strangers as he’s known abuse in his past and he feels vulnerable being so tiny. New adopters need to understand that it’s not easy being the little guy living in a world of giants and appreciate his need to feel secure and protected. He would ideally suit a quiet household with adults only and not too many visitors coming and going.

Although enjoying going out for walks, Wilbur is not keen on being put on the lead but is okay with letting people he knows and trust doing it. He is happy with other dogs, but wouldn’t mind if he was the only dog in the house. He would prefer a nice quiet home where he can curl up, be fed, walked and totally adored.

Wilbur is vaccinated, microchipped and neutered.

Note: Safe Rescue have a policy that all dogs adopted from Safe Rescue must wear a slip lead on walks for the duration of their lives. Please only enquire about Safe Rescue dogs if you are happy to always use a slip lead – extendable leads are not acceptable to Safe Rescue.
