11/1/2023 – Little Ronnie has found a new home!

Ronnie is aged 9 and is with Dogs Trust Merseyside. They are currently looking for a foster home for little Ronnie, while he has cruciate surgery. Recovery in a home will take less time than in kennels.

Ronnie is tolerating kennels but would sooner by back in a home where he can be someone’s best buddy again. He enjoys a potter about the centre but he doesn’t go far, and he also likes a fuss or a cuddle on his own terms. He’ll walk away without a care when he’s had enough of you! Ron would make a wonderful companion for an older person or someone with limited mobility who still enjoys getting outside.

Ronnie has separation anxiety and needs someone with him all the time, else he becomes very distressed. He will walk with other dogs but he’s rather independent and prefers to do his own thing than interact. He needs to be the only dog at home but can have walking pals outside. Given his lack of experience with children, and that he doesn’t like to be approached when resting, Ronnie can only be around children age 15 and over.

He is house trained but will toilet if left, as he hates to be alone. Ronnie does not appreciate being bothered when in his bed.

Could you offer Ronnie a home?
