18/4/22 – Sophie has found a long-term foster home. Brilliant news!

Soft Sophie is a beautiful lady who has come from a kill shelter in Romania where life is terribly tough. She has some battle scars from her time there and life on the streets beforehand, but she was definitely on the receiving end as she has the most amazing nature. Sophie is looking for a long-term foster home rather than adoption and is currently living in a foster home near Whitby, Yorkshire, in the care of Cloud K9 Rescue.
Sophie is around 10 years old and is a tall softy with a big heart. She loves to be with people and being brushed – all the things she has missed out on probably all her life, but almost certainly in recent years.
Sophie’s foster carers say she is the most wonderful companion. She is also clean in the house and walks well on the lead. Sophie’s perfect home would be a quiet retirement home, where she can cuddle and snooze the day away, with a nice walk or two to break the day up. Visiting children would ideally be older so that they aren’t trying to bother or climb over her and not too noisy or running around.
Sophie would rather be the only pet in the house. Whilst she tolerates other dogs, she doesn’t want to share ‘her’ love with them and, after being bullied in a kill shelter surrounded by dozens of other dogs, you can hardly blame her. Sophie does not get on with cats.
When Sophie arrived in foster care, she was in very poor condition but was spayed shortly afterwards and has put on weight and is generally in very good health. At that time, a couple of medical issues were noticed (which aren’t giving her any problems at the moment) that can be discussed in detail with her foster carers.
Sophie is primarily looking for long-term foster care (ideally around the North Yorkshire area) in a caring, peaceful home … a sanctuary just for Sophie.
