24/9/22 – Lovely Willow has gone off to her new home!
——————–

Willow is a fabulous 10 year old Beagle who came into rescue because of her owner’s mobility issues. Willow is in an Oldies Club foster home in Crowland, Lincolnshire, waiting for someone to offer her a permanent home.

Settled well in foster: Willow took about 3 days to make herself at home in foster care.

Can be left: Willow doesn’t mind being left alone for a few hours but she wouldn’t want to be left for full-time working hours.

Good with dogs: Willow is good with other dogs and likes to play with them, but she can be nervous of big dogs. She would be happy to live with a compatible dog.

Unknown with cats: Cats don’t seems to bother Willow but we aren’t sure whether she could live with them.

Good with children: Willow has been good with her foster carers’ grandchildren and should be fine to live with kind children aged 10+.

Enjoys gentle walks: Willow enjoys her walks and likes to sniff everything; she is a scent hound after all! She is OK on the lead. Willow is currently have two walks per day of about 15-20 minutes each walk. When she gets back home she likes to flop down and have a good sleep.

Good in the car: Willow is a very good traveller.

Willow’s favourite pastimes: Sleeping; Getting lots of attention; Being stroked.

Willow’s dislikes: She doesn’t like loud noise or big dogs. She also doesn’t like to be shut in a single room as she likes to be able to walk around.

Willow’s ideal home: A quiet home where she will have company a lot of the time. Somewhere with not too much commotion.

Health notes: Willow is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, wormed and flea treated. She has Cushing’s Disease for which she needs to take one 30mg capsule of Vetoryl each morning. This will be lifelong medication and she will need to have periodic blood tests to ensure she is on the correct dose.

More from Willow’s foster carers:Lovely Willow is a well-behaved dog who is very affectionate and likes to cuddle up. She likes people once she has got to know them. She lets our grandchildren play with her and when she’s had enough she simply walks away and lies down. Being a typical Beagle, Willow can be a little stubborn and she loves her food. You must keep all food well out of her reach! She currently has a Dentastix each night before bed, which she really enjoys. Once she gets to know you and is settled she is a very loving dog.
