25/03/2023: Astor has been adopted! Hooray!

Astor along with his friend, Aska, were rescued from a kill pound where they were brought by dog catchers. Shortly after Aska was adopted, Astor received a home offer as well but, sadly, after only 12 hours he was returned due to “bad behaviour” around the cats. He is, therefore, now looking for a cat-free home. Astor is being fostered in London and potential adopters will have to meet him before adoption.

Astor is a small-medium size, black and tan Crossbreed aged between 7 and 8 years. He weights only 14kg. Sadly, as a small, black dog he is being overlooked by potential adopters. He has been tested several times with cats and he reacts indifferently to some while some he will chase, so he does need a cat-free home. He gets along well with all dogs but prefers to spend his time with humans.

Astor is friendly, loving and playful boy with rather a calm character. He loves to cuddle and will spend the entire day next to you on a sofa. He has not been tested with children but, based on his personality, it’s believed he could live with older children.

Astor walks beautifully on the lead and will need a home where his adopters will take him out on walks regularly. He is completely unfazed by the traffic or noise. He is always ready to give his paw or chase a tennis ball (just don’t try to take it away, he doesn’t like it). He would make a perfect city dog and can live both in a house and in a flat.

Astor is vaccinated, chipped and neutered.
