15/9/2023 Handsome Daniel has gone to his new home.

Handsome Daniel is a 7 year old Cocker Spaniel being fostered in an adult home with other dogs and visiting grandchildren in Gloucestershire. Starfish Dog Rescue took him into care from a breeder. He had been quite poorly and under vet care before arriving, but the only medication he is still taking is half a steroid once a day.
Daniel is a very loving dog with a good temperament with humans and other dogs. He has settled into home life easily and is very good with the elderly dogs he lives with and fine with all the dogs he meets out and about.
Daniel enjoys getting comfy on the sofa and he is affectionate with humans; he loves to be stroked and get a fuss. He has met the grandchildren and more or less ignored them. In fact, the little one who is only 5 and nervous of dogs said how much he liked Daniel because Daniel does not jump up on him and make a fuss.
Daniel enjoys travelling in the car. He is getting better at walking on the lead, but he has not been let off yet except only in a secure field. He has been left a few hours with no problems. He does sleep upstairs in the bedroom with the other dogs and would prefer a home that would let him continue to do this.
Daniel’s only problem is that he is still a cocking his leg a few times a day, but he has only just been neutered so it’s hoped that this will help; what does not help is that one of the dogs he lives with is incontinent. He does not poo inside. In time, especially now he has been castrated, this will calm down.
Daniel has been castrated, vaccinated, flea/worm treated and chipped. There are lots of lovely videos of him which you can watch here.
