24/8/23 – We are delighted to have heard that lovely Lance has a lovely new home lined up to go to. We are so pleased to have helped Lance get noticed!
————————–

Handsome Lance is a tri-colour Wire Fox Terrier who will be 11 on 1st September. He is in the care of the Wire Fox Terrier Association Welfare and Rehoming Scheme in Shropshire.

Lance is good on a lead, great in new environments, and simply takes everything in his stride. He is a well-travelled boy who loves going out and about. He is good in the car and he’s even travelled well on ferries. He has been a kennel dog most of his life, and does prefer to spend time outdoors more than being indoors. He’s an active boy, but he does also enjoy a comfy bed to snuggle into at night.

Although now castrated, Lance can be dominant around other dogs and he will stand his ground if challenged, especially by other males. Lance would therefore be best suited as the only dog in his new home. He isn’t used to being around cats. He is good with people and, though he has not had a lot of contact with children, the contact he has had has been positive. He likes to be with people but can be bouncy: he is fit and athletic.

Lance is good with food, enjoys it, and has no specific dietary requirements. He has had no health issues except for a recent dental removing a couple of teeth.

Lance has a happy outlook and enjoys life. Could you offer Lance a wonderful home?

Contact Wire Fox Terrier Association Welfare and Rehoming Scheme as follows:

The first step is to complete the Wire Fox Terrier Association online application form – click here and scroll down to the form

Wire Fox Terrier Association’s rehoming policy:We can only process applications for rehoming once we have received a completed online application form. Once received our Welfare Coordinator will review and if the initial criteria for the dog applied for has been met we will arrange a call with you to discuss the application further. Once we have done the required checks and are happy we can then arrange a meeting for you with the dog. Wire Fox Terriers are not a large breed in terms of numbers, therefore not many are available to rehome each year – as a guide a drive of up to 4 hrs (roundtrip) to see/collect a dog is not unusual. Occasionally depending on circumstances we can help to deliver or meet half way but this MUST with be prior arrangement. All our dogs go to their new homes with 5 weeks free insurance. All dogs will have been spayed/castrated unless there is a medical reason for this not to be the case. All dogs will be fully vaccinated and microchipped. There is a rehoming contract and a rehoming fee applies. Dogs are not rehomed with KC papers. Regular contact is made during the settling in period. WFTA welfare and rehoming will provide on going support during the dogs lifetime (NB we are not able to provide financial support)“.

Please mention that you saw Lance on the Oldies Club website.
