19/2/23 – Spot has found a home!

9-year-old Terrier Cross boy, Spot, is with Dogs Trust Merseyside.

Gorgeous Spot is looking for an adult-only home with people who will be able to visit him at Dogs Trust’s Merseyside centre on multiple occasions. Spot can be nervous of new people and so he likes to take things slowly when getting to know you. The behaviour team will guide his new people through everything, to make sure that Spot is set up for success in his new home.

Lovely Spot is looking for a home where he will be the only pet. He has been friendly and excitable around calm dogs, and he will walk with them, but he can be uncomfortable around dogs that are lively or overly friendly. He is not a fan of being barked at and he will bark back!

Spot is housetrained and he can be left a few hours once settled in. He needs committed adopters who will allow him time to settle into life at his new home. He initially struggled with being in kennels as he had lived in the same home all of his life; poor Spot. He has gradually built a really strong bond with his handlers though and he has taken them on the full Spot journey, showing them his loving, sweet and fun sides!

Spot loves going for walks and his day is made if he goes for an offsite adventure where he can use his nose to the full. He really loves to sniff, but he also enjoys jumping in the paddling pool and having a splash when it’s warm. All of his handlers at Dogs Trust definitely have a soft “Spot” for him!

Could you offer gorgeous Spot his ideal new home and visit him a number of times at the Centre?
