Hutch is a 12-year-old Pomeranian boy (weighing just 4kg) in the care of Mayhew Animal Home in North West London. He arrived with his brother Starsky but it’s believed they’d be happier living separately so they can each have all available love to themselves.

Hutch is an affectionate older dog, looking for a calm, quiet home to enjoy his retirement in. He enjoys gentle walks and enrichment to keep active. Hutch is a little worried by other dogs and will try to move himself away if another dog is too much for him.

Hutch can live in a flat as long as there is direct access to a garden, for ease of toileting, but can be vocal at times so this should be considered. Being a little older, it’s thought he would be best suited to a home without children but could live with sensible teenagers of 16+.

Hutch has had a dental whilst in rescue, extracting multiple teeth. No further treatment is currently needed. He would be best suited to being the only dog in the home. A home without cats would be best, so that he can enjoy his later years in peace.

Hutch has been neutered, microchipped and vaccinated and is up to date with flea and worm treatment. He has also been health checked and behaviourally assessed. He did have occasional accidents in his previous home but usually when access to outside was not available. He might need a house-training refresher. With the right person, Hutch will flourish and bring so much love and joy into his new home.
