Starsky is a 12-year-old Pomeranian boy (weighing 4.5kg) in the care of Mayhew Animal Home in North West London. He arrived with his brother Hutch but it’s believed they’d be happier living separately so they can each have all available love to themselves.
Starsky is a very sweet older gentleman who is looking to go at a steadier pace. He enjoys a potter and is a sociable boy who is happy to say hello to most passing dogs and people. He is selective in who he likes to say hello to and finds more full-on dogs a bit much for him and would prefer to move himself away. He can initially be worried when meeting new people but warms up quickly and is a friendly boy with lots of love to give.
Starsky can live in a flat as long as there is direct access to a garden, for ease of toileting, but he can be vocal at times so this should be considered. Being a little older, it’s thought he would be best suited to a home without children, but could live with sensible teenagers of 16+ providing he is given space when needed.
Starsky arrived at Mayhew with multiple teeth already missing, but no further treatment is currently needed. He would be best suited to being the only dog in the home and without cats would be best.
Starsky has been neutered, microchipped and vaccinated and is up to date with flea and worm treatment. He has also been health checked and behaviourally assessed. Starsky has had accidents in his previous home but usually when access to outside was not available. He will need a house-training refresher. Starsky would suit a quiet home with a patient owner who is willing to give him time to settle.
