This handsome gent is called Kan and he’s a delightful, gentle giant estimated to be around 9 years old. He’s currently fostered in Malvern, Worcestershire, ensuring he’s safe and well-cared-for until he finds his forever home with the help of Hope VMS.
Kan has a stunning coat that likely reflects his German Shepherd crossbreed heritage. His playful nature and affectionate personality make him a wonderful companion for the right family. Kan thrives in an active family environment where he can receive plenty of attention and playtime. He would do well with older children who understand his boundaries and can engage in gentle interactions.
However, due to his preference for people and potential food-guarding tendencies, it’s best that Kan lives in a home without cats or other small pets. While Kan may tolerate the presence of other dogs, his independent nature suggests he may prefer being the only canine companion in the household.
Ideally, Kan would benefit from a home where he can enjoy both mental and physical stimulation through regular walks and play sessions. He’s a big boy, so he’ll need plenty of space to move around and explore. A quiet retirement home with a consistent routine and loving companionship would suit Kan well, although he’ll also thrive in an energetic family environment that can keep up with his playful antics.
Kan is house-trained and can be left alone for a couple of hours, especially if he has access to toys and comfortable resting areas. As for travelling, Kan’s love for water suggests he may enjoy outings to the beach, lake, or river, making him a potential travel companion for those who enjoy outdoor adventures. However, further training and acclimation may be needed to ensure he travels comfortably and safely.
