Beautiful Bailey was a former street dog in Kenya and was rescued from an abusive life by her current owner. She is currently being cared for by her owner in Richmond, Surrey, and looking forward to the loving, retirement home she deserves.
Bella would enjoy life in a fairly quiet environment with some green space. As an older lady, she loves to bask in the sun, go on short sniffing expeditions and get lots of attention.
Bailey is 11 years old and neutered. Her favourite things are to receive fuss and cuddles from her owners, visitors and anyone she can. She loves meeting new people, including children. She is wonderfully kind with her owner’s toddler, who leans in for sloppy face licks whenever he can.
Due to her street life background, Bailey has never really learned to play with toys so much, so while she will enjoy foraging for treats, she won’t go for balls, etc. In between, she likes to lie in the sun in the garden.
Bailey is happy to travel in cars and short walks suit her best because of her missing her right back leg. She doesn’t like to be left alone in the house; she will howl and bark when unhappy, but never cause damage.
Bailey is overall a very calm dog who loves kids and is happy to live with other dogs, though she is not used to living with cats. She is cautious about new people coming into the home and needs to be introduced carefully to keep her calm.
Bailey is being rehomed privately by her owner, who has confirmed he will take her back if her new home doesn’t work out for any reason. Prospective adopters will be carefully home-checked.
