Beautiful boy Elton is an 8-year-old Crossbreed who’s looking for a foster or permanent home through Dogs 4 Rescue in Manchester. He wants a child free and cat free home but could possibly live with a calm female dog.
Elton is a fantastic dog, who is extremely affectionate and loving. It does take some time to earn his trust, but he’s very food motivated so after a few sensible introductions he will accept you as his best friend. Once Elton knows you he is incredibly loyal and will give you the most amazing welcome!
Elton is a playful, entertaining boy who really thrives in human company. He will sit and give you ‘paws up’ and loves nothing more than playing with toys. Walks are also another firm favourite of his.
Elton is selective with other dogs, although he has a group of friends at Dogs 4 Rescue who he lives with he can display reactivity to some others, particularly if he is on a lead as he feels trapped. He definitely prefers the ladies.
He will progress with positive reinforcement training in a calm environment with an experienced owner. He is a bright boy who is keen to learn and muzzle trained, so steps can be put in place to keep him safe during training.
Everyone at Dogs 4 Rescue adores Elton here and he will make someone the most cheerful, loving best friend imaginable.
