———-

This handsome boy is Elvis, a neutered, 13 year old, black and tan Husky cross, who is being privately rehomed due to family commitments preventing him from getting the time he needs and deserves at this time of hs life.

Elvis is looking for a home preferably with older or no children. He can be with other dogs but does not like bigger dogs (alsations, boxers etc). Typical of this breed, he has to be walked on a lead as his recall can be a little temperamental, and he is a bit of a chaser as well (all done as a game). He spends a lot of time outdoors and always has done, so a home with a big garden would be perfect! He needs an experienced owner, but, as he is getting older, he is getting more relaxed.

He is totally house trained and a good companion to have around the house, likes his treats and lying on the sofa if he can get away with it! He is very loving and affectionate and just needs a quiet home where he can relax and enjoy his twilight years. He has a slight heart murmur, but otherwise is in good health and taking no medication.

Prospective adopters will be homechecked by the owner or by an Oldies Club volunteer. The owner has also confirmed that she will take Arctic back if the rehoming doesn’t work out for any reason.

Oldies Club suggests you read our article Questions for Adopters which is written to help people who are planning to adopt a dog from a private owner rather than a rescue.
