29/8/2011 Poor Widget has sadly passed away due to kidney failure. The rescue kennels are devastated, but say he had a lovely summer and spent a lot of time in the house and garden with other dogs. Sleep tight old fellow :(

Widget was born in 1999, so he’s 12 years old and really in need of a loving retirement home where he can have lots of TLC. He’s currently living at Racers’ Retreat at Greyhound Rescue, Shropshire & Borders.

Widget is a medium sized Collie Lurcher and he loves other dogs so would be happy to share his new home with a doggie companion. He’s a little confused at the moment and is showing signs of the start of senility. It’s therefore important that he finds a stable and comfy home where he can enjoy his twilight years. He’s good with children, but would be better suited to either an adult only home or one where any children are older and will respect his need for some peace and quiet.

It isn’t yet known how Widget would be around cats, but the rescue would be happy to cat test him if necessary.

Widget is neutered and he has recently had a dental and some teeth removed.
