12/2/2018 – Sadly Toffee had tumours in her stomach and chest and had to be put to sleep. Run free beautiful girl. :(
Toffee is an attractive 9 year old Terrier girl who is in the care of Dunroamin K9 Rescue through no fault of her own. She is in a foster home in South Yorkshire and has been waiting a while for a forever home.
Toffee is a fun-loving, active little girl who loves her walks and also enjoys a swim, as you can see below!
Toffee is affectionate with people she trusts. She would love to curl up on the sofa with you or follow you around like a shadow. She also loves to play ball and is a joy to play with. She would be best suited to someone who is home most of the time as she can get a little upset if left alone for too long.
Toffee needs a home where she is the only dog, and without cats. She enjoys quiet, peaceful days so she would like a calm, child-free home.
Toffee knows the basic commands and is pleased to show them off indoors or outdoors. She walks beautifully on the lead and would walk for miles given a chance. Watch her having fun on walkies in this video!
She tends to ignore other dogs passing by, but if they are allowed to come close to her and sniff her, she won’t tolerate them. This is probably something to do with her past, and realistically won’t change but might mellow a little. For this reason Toffee needs a home with a dog-experienced person.
Toffee laps up attention and love, but only when she wants it, and she needs a kind, patient owner. She will be very happy as a treasured only dog, spending most of the day with her owner. Could you offer Toffee your time and companionship? If so, Toffee will pay you back tenfold.
