Oh so cute, little Fern is an adorable, 14 year old Yorkshire Terrier who would love to settle down in a cosy and homely environment, possibly with another like-minded, similar-aged doggy companion and enjoy the interaction of children aged 10 years and above. Till then, Fern is residing with Leicester Animal Aid and dreaming her new home will come along soon. She was recently rehomed but, sadly, has come back due to no fault of her own. Her new owner had mobility problems and it was thought Fern would be happy with garden exercise, but she loves going out despite her age. She is hard of hearing and sight but loves life.

Fern would like to tell you a little about herself:
“Hey ‘Fern Britton’ here, a little shy at first but a calm and quiet girl who keeps herself to herself. I am very loving and do like the limelight once in a while, but I’m more than happy just to be loved and enjoy the fuss of a new owner who will cherish me for who I am.

I have dabbled in a little dancing when playing with my toys, ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ star me! I am a keen food fanatic and do enjoy the occasional treat, ‘Ready Steady Cook’ eat your heart out.

My hearing and sight may not be the best anymore, but I can still enjoy my short potters and tell when ‘This Morning’ is coming on. I won’t lie, the aid of hand signals has really been a great benefit and the patience of my carers. Sadly, the body is not as young it used to be and the water works are more frequent.”

Fern is such a little sweetheart who should be in a loving home and not kennels at her age.
