13/12/17 – Little Mia has found her new home!

—————-

Mia is an 11 year old Chihuahua who is one of three that arrived at Freshfields Animal Rescue because their owner was struggling to care for them properly. The other two Chihuahuas have found fantastic homes, but Mia is still waiting. She is in a foster home in Liverpool.

Mia was the most feisty one of the trio, and it takes her a bit longer to warm to new people, but once she does she is a little sweetheart. She will need her new owner to visit her a few times to get to know her before she goes home. Once she knows you, Mia loves attention and cuddles, and she simply has to be on your knee or near you.

Mia needs an adult-only home, with no visiting children, with someone around for all or most of the day. She should be fine to live with other dogs again but it would depend on their temperament. She is currently in foster with cats and doesn’t seem bothered by them.

Mia has had a dental since arriving at Freshfields and is in good health, although she does make a lot of snorting noises!

Mia would be ideal for a retired person or couple who want a little lap dog. She is not used to being walked so will need a gentle and patient owner who will take the time to gradually introduce her to the big wide world. She will make a delightful companion.
