18/12/17 – Gorgeous Shauna has been adopted! :)

Shauna is a sweet little 10 year old Staffy girl who was found by the dog warden and no-one came forward to claim her. She is now safe in the care of Senior Staffy Club and is in a foster home in Durham.

Shauna is a tiny girl with a big personality. She’s so funny and loving, and a little bit cheeky too! She’s looking for a home where she is your only dog as she can be a bit bossy with other dogs. She would like a nice peaceful life in her retirement years, so any children in her new home would need to be aged 10 years plus. Shauna can be cat tested on request.

Shauna loves her walks but she can’t go too far these days. She is good on the lead and very easy to control because she is only small. She gets tired quite quickly, and she has a head shake, but the vet said there is nothing wrong with her and that the wobbles might be due to an old accident or trauma. Shauna is happy though and copes well with how she is.

She travels fine by car with no problems, although she is a little vocal! She is also a good girl at the vets.

Shauna is struggling a bit with separation anxiety, but her new foster home is working with her on this in the hope that it is just down to insecurity and that she can gradually overcome it.
