Boots (Senior Staffy Club, fostered Worcestershire)

8-year-old Boots has moved to Senior Staffy Club from another rescue, because he was constantly overlooked. He’d been in kennels for six and a half years, since he was only 18 months old. Poor old Boots!! He’s now in a foster home in Droitwich, Worcestershire, waiting for someone to offer him a forever home.

It’s such a tragedy that this lovely lad has been unwanted for so long as he is so loving and cuddly. Poor Boots has no teeth at all (SSC call him gummy bear!), but the reason why is very sad – Boots chewed all his teeth away through the boredom and stress of spending so long in kennels. Sob, sob!

But let’s focus on the positive and make sure this extra-deserving boy finally finds his new home. He walks well on his lead and loves to go for nice long walks. He will walk nicely beside other dogs, but SSC are not yet sure if he could live with one. He travels OK in a car, but he would like to get on your lap ideally!

Because he hasn’t had lots of human contact for so long, it would be best if Boots doesn’t live with very young children, but he should be fine with children aged 12+ as he absolutely loves people. He needs a home without cats.

Boots is good at the vets, and when he moved to a foster home he only had one accident, on the first day, and then quickly got the hang of going outside to the toilet. Bless him!

His new home will need to have good fencing, as Boots can jump very high and is a bit of an escape artist, which isn’t entirely surprising given that he has been locked up for so long.

Senior Staffy Club’s behaviourist will help his adopter with free advice for the whole of Boots’s life, should he have any issues.

Could you be the wonderful person Boots has waited over 6 years to meet?
