Cissie is a 7 year old Aylestone Bulldog who has recently arrived in Dunroamin K9 Rescue‘s care after being found as a stray and not being reclaimed. She is in kennels in Nottinghamshire.

Sadly, it seems that Cissie has been ill-treated in the past and so she is rather nervous of people she doesn’t know and she flinches when initially touched. Poor Cissie.

Volunteers have taken her out walking, which she loves, and she seems fit and healthy and, in the same way that the volunteers are getting to know Cissie, she is also getting to know them and feeling more comfortable.

Kennel life is very stressful for poor Cissie and so it is hoped that she will quickly find a suitable new home. She needs a patient and understanding adult-only home with people who have the time to give her lots of tender loving care. Cissie would be best as an only dog and it isn’t known whether she is comfortable with cats.

Could you love, support and guide Cissie into her new life as a happy and contented dog?
