22/4/18 – We are so pleased to hear that Goldie has found her new home!

—————————

Goldie, with the gorgeous big ears, is a 7 year old short-coated GSD looking for a new home. She is with German Shepherd Dog Rescue and is in kennels on the Isle of Wight.

Due to health issues of her owners, poor Goldie had only ever been in the house or garden. Despite this she is a lovely girl and is very friendly with people. She loves having a fuss made of her and gets on well with children of all ages. Goldie responds well to commands inside the house and loves playing with her toys.

As walks are such a novelty, Goldie pulls on the lead simply because of the excitement of actually going out. She is being walked on a gentle leader to stop her pulling but she will bark at other dogs if they get too close. The kennels are working on her lack of socialisation. Goldie will happily sit and watch dogs if they are a certain distance away and it is believed that with time and patience she will improve. After 7 years of never being socialised it is a lot to ask for her to become every dog’s best friend.

Goldie is an absolute cuddle monster and just needs a family that will give her lots of opportunities to socialise and have fun. Please don’t overlook this beautiful girl as she really does deserve to find a wonderful forever home.
