28/05/18 – Little Harold has found his new home!

14 year old Harold the Shih Tzu is definitely not a sighthound, but he is in the care of Evesham Greyhound and Lurcher Rescue and is hoping to find a nice quiet home very soon. He is being fostered in Birmingham.

Harold is a wonderful, friendly little soul and his temperament has really started to shine through since arriving in rescue and having extensive dental work (only 2 teeth left), a wart removed from above his eye, and also being neutered. He has come through all of this brilliantly and is now ready to start his next adventure.

Harold would enjoy a quiet home where someone is around most of the time because he loves company and wants to be near you. He loves to sit by your feet when you are sitting down, and if you go upstairs he will wait patiently at the bottom for you. He is such a friendly boy who loves other dogs and is cat friendly too.

Harold loves to go out for a short walk a couple of times a day. He is quite slow on the lead and only needs to walk for about 5 or 10 minutes but he enjoys having a good sniff about. He is a bit stiff so is having Metacam for this. Harold’s foster carer says that he is a sweet and loving old man who can on occasion be a bit grumpy (can’t we all) but he will make you smile every single day.

Could you offer Harold a retirement home where he will be loved and spoiled?
