15/10/18 – Jack has been adopted, having been spotted on Oldies Club! Hooray!

Dear little Jack is a JRT, believed to be about 16-18 years old. He’s being rehomed privately by a lady who resecued him, in North Staffordshire and he’ll be staying with her until he’s found his perfect retirement home. A quiet lifestyle is his main requirement… after love, of course!

Jack is great with other dogs both in and out of the home. He’d be happy living with canine pals. Such fun! It’s unknown what he’s like with cats but, being a Terrier, it’s simplest to assume they wouldn’t like living with him.

He’s good with children as well. Given his advanced age, he does need a lot peace. If he did live with children, they’d have to respect his sleepy times.

Jack is an easy dog to live with in most ways as he’s so undemanding, yet lovely! He doesn’t even need walks anymore. He’ll happily potter along with you if you want a short walkies and he’s very good on the lead, but it’s not essential to him. A good, secure garden which he can access whenever he wants, will be enough. Resting is more of a priority for him than gallivanting these days.

When he’s not busy doing very little, Jack occupies himself with chewing his antler/bone. He’ll be content to be left alone for up to 4 hours, as long as he has his antler.

What Jack really likes doing is snuggling up for a snooze, either in his comfy bed or, preferably, on your feet. He’s very considerate about keeping his human’s feet warm!

Jack is a little sweetie. He’s cute and funny but also gentle and wise. He’s vaccinated, microchipped and has no known health issue except, and this is undiagnosed, he might have doggy dementia. He has a habit of barking at walls sometimes. This is the only way it’s manifested though, and it balances out because he doesn’t mind postmen. Just walls, bless him!

Jack will make an adorable little companion! His rescuer will carry out the usual checks, including a homecheck and has confirmed that she would take him back if the adoption didn’t work out for any reason.
