18/8/18 – Meg has found a new home, but it’s very sad news for Lexi as she has had to be put to sleep after suddenly becoming very unwell.

Please meet two lovely ladies, Meg and Lexi, who came into the care of the RSPCA Danaher Animal Home in Essex and who are very attached to each other. Therefore, they would love to find that special home together.

Meg is a 9 year old Bull Mastiff and her younger friend, Lexi, is a 5 year old Dogue de Bordeaux. They are laid-back ladies who seem to love everyone and everything, except cats perhaps.

Meg

Meg and Lexi are very easy going, they love people and enjoy socialising with other dogs. Although they could be rehomed separately, it would be wonderful to find a home for Meg and Lexi together as they are such big buddies (big in more ways than one!).

Lexi

Although both Meg and Lexi are large ladies with characters to match, they are both calm and gentle girls. They love a quick run around but then will settle into bumbling around together. They may need a bit of space, but they don’t need a huge garden or loads of walking, just loads of cuddling. Because of their gentle nature, they have been assessed as suitable to live with children aged 8 years+, subject to staff discretion.

Meg and Lexi are both spayed and in good condition. A cancerous lump was removed from Meg and although there are clear margins round the lump, there is a risk this will pop up again in the future.
