14/05/18 – Gorgeous Mikko has found a home!
Who can resist this sweet face? Introducing Mikko, a darling little terrier cross. Mikko’s passport declares him as 9 years old, although he could be slightly younger than that. Nonetheless, he qualifies as an oldie. Mikko was rescue from a terrible situation in Romania and is now safe and well cared for thanks to Safe Rescue.
Mikko was in an appalling state when he was rescued from the street. He was skinny and almost bald, a truly pitiful sight. That was just a few months ago and, during that time, he has blossomed into a completely different dog! He is a loving chap who has discovered a passion for snoozing on laps and going for walks on the beach. He took to walking on a lead very quickly and seems to thrive on having human attention, as long as it is not too much. He prefers to devote himself to a couple or single person. He is looking for a quiet life now, where he can rest in the assurance that he is loved and safe.
Mikko is sharing his foster home with children and other dogs at the moment, with whom he gets along, but he would prefer an adult home where he is the only dog. That way he can soak up all the love and attention he has missed out on so far in life. He is okay with being left on his own for a few hours and has no real demands except for a lap to sleep on, nice regular meals and people to love and care for him. He is just wants to relax.
