14/7/2018 Adorable Missy is very happy to advise that she has found her lovely, new home.

Missy is an adorable little spud, cute all over, although at the moment there is a little too much of her! She is an 8-year-old Chihuahua cross who arrived in the UK from Romania. She found a new home, but sadly her new owner became ill so she is back to her home search. This cute little dumpling is currently being cared for in a foster home through Safe Rescue.
With her paws tucked under as above, Missy looks like a cute little seal pup, doesn’t she? It seems that this rotund girl was living in an apartment with an elderly person who never took her for walks. When her owner died, she was probably tossed into the street like rubbish and was picked up and deposited into a shelter. It’s so sad and wrong to treat a dog in this way, but sadly it’s a common occurrence there. Luckily she was rescued and brought to the UK.
Missy probably never got out to experience the world outside of her apartment so it must have been terrifying for her to be unprotected in the street. She is understandably shy and nervous, but she seems resilient and will blossom in a loving home. She is just learning to walk on the lead and is starting to take an interest in sniffing around and exploring, but she is still a bit hesitant. She is very shy and needs a quiet, adult home where she can be cherished and one where her owners can help her lose the weight she has put on after her idle yeats and make her fit and healthy again!
Missy gets along with other dogs and could share her home with other quiet, non-boisterous dogs. She can also live with cats but can be a little snappy with them. Children scare her so she needs an adult home.
Missy is very submissive and seems to expect she will be hit, poor girl. She will need work to help socialise her and make her the loving pet she deserves to be. Eight is not old for a small dog like Missy so she should have plenty of time to blossom with a bit of kindness and patient, slow introductions to the world outside. Once she is comfortable with you, she just loves a fuss and a cuddle! And it is a priority that she lose some weight!
