This is Olivia, a 7 to 8 year old Labrador cross who is in the care of a Safe Rescue foster home in Fordingbridge, Hampshire. Poor Olivia has been used as a breeding machine, having litter after litter of puppies. She was rescued from the streets of Romania with one puppy and she was even pregnant then!

At some point during her life, Olivia has also suffered some sort of head trauma that necessitated surgery to help her eat again. Sadly she now has a lop sided face and a wonky jaw, but this makes her unique and does nothing to spoil her beautiful looks. She does struggle to eat biscuits though, so would benefit from staying on soft food for the rest of her life.

Surprisingly, given Olivia’s tough past, she has the most amazing personality. She is full of affection for everyone and is really enjoying being in her foster home. She has so much love to give you and lots of licks too! She makes the most of her home comforts and will curl up next to you and snore her little head off!

Olivia is a playful girl so could probably live with another dog. She can be a little nervous of new dogs though, so just needs a gentle introduction. She’s great with people of all ages, but because she can be a little excitable at all the attention she’s getting, she would be better suited to a home with children aged 10 years and above.

Olivia is learning to walk well on her lead and she’s been clean in the home since she first arrived. She’ll make a perfect companion for someone who has plenty of time to devote to her. After such a harsh life she really deserves a comfortable retirement.
