Penny (Change a Paw Life Rescue, Essex)

27/2/18 – Lovely little Penny has been adopted!

Penny is a sweet 16 year old Jack Russell Terrier whose previous owner took her to the vets to be put to sleep as he was working away. Penny is luckily now in the care of Change a Paw Life Rescue in Essex, waiting for someone to offer her a new home to retire to.

Penny is very friendly and easy-going and she loves people and other dogs but she needs a home with no cats or children. Penny hardly ever barks and she can be left for sensible amounts of time. She has to be let out as soon as she wakes up, as she can’t hold on, but otherwise she is a clean girl in the house.

Lively Penny still has plenty of energy and she loves going for walks. She needs a nice quiet home, but does need an active person who will keep up her walks of 30-45 minutes per day. She also loves cuddling in beside you and going to sleep. She does like to sleep a lot, and because she has poor hearing she is very startled if rudely awakened and will snap initially until she realises where she is. She would never snap normally and is very humbled if it happens. But this does mean that Penny is unsuitable to live with children or in a home with visiting children.

Penny is quite a fussy eater and seems used to having human food. She has been vet checked and has no current medical needs. She is spayed, vaccinated and microchipped.

Penny will make the most wonderful, loyal companion for her new owner. Could that be you?
